OCD Tendancies
September 2nd, 2010 by adminLately in my travels through the lives of my clients, what to do with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) tendencies has come up more frequently than usual. While I’m not sure why that is, I welcomed the opportunity to go back through my own OCD past and catch up on what I’ve learned about OCD through the years as compared to what research and the DSM IV has to say about the condition today.
Since OCD is another spectrum disorder condition, meaning it can range from light to severe in manifestation, I was reminded that most OCD encountered in coaching, and in most of the affected population falls, into one of the following categories: cleaning, touching or perfecting.
