ADHD Coach Training

ADHD Coaching is a rewarding career in a rapidly growing field. ADHD Coaches are able to set their own hours and see the direct benefits of their hard work. Working one-on-one with children, teenagers, college students, or adults, ADHD Coaches motivate, provide long-term strategic planning, and manage the overall treatment and support system for their clients.

The ideal coach is a college educated people-person who has direct experience with ADD/ADHD. A great ADHD Coach is talented at assessing problems and generating practical, efficient solutions. A good sense of humor, creativity and love of fun are also major perks.

ADD Insights offers two distinct programs led by Senior Certified ADHD Coach and IAAC founding member Carol Gignoux. Using the Seven Core Competencies training method, all participants are prepared in accordance with the International Coach Federation Coach Competencies and the high standards of the Institute for Advancement of ADHD Coaching. Our graduates receive a well-rounded education that fully prepares them for the Coach Certification Exam and the foundation for starting their own practice right away.

Testimonial

The handouts are great, the volume of info was immense, the business forms are a godsend, the mentor coaching was probably life-altering. I learned how to present myself as an ADHD coach. I had the knowledge and passion but you helped me to package everything together in order to start my own coaching business. — Sandy S., Keene, NH.

I chose to work with Carol Gignoux because I wanted one-to-one mentored training as I transitioned from a counselor/educator to the coaching role. I had investigated many training programs. Carol got me to jump right in and work with pro-bono clients. To help me learn, she skillfully reviewed each case with me. I learned the core competencies and how to coach clients by asking powerful questions. Carol is a highly skilled coach, who not only taught me coaching skills, but also challenged me to identify my own priorities and values as a coach. This helped me to develop my own coaching style. I now have a statement of purpose, a template for managing clients, a network of coaches (from her encouragement to get involved in ACO and ADDA), and am working on a business plan. Carol coached me to my own success! -- Donna Rudek, M.Ed., Shrewsbury, MA
