We now know how to address the causes of underperformance in any workplace using structures and proven strategies that work. In this presentation you will have the chance to learn the Five Steps and create a plan to apply them to your own situation. Finding Answers to ADHD in Intimate Relationships
Having ADHD can make it difficult and challenging for those around us. This is especially true in intimate relationships. Although it is rarely the case that people with ADHD intend to create relationship problems, they often do. So what is really going on in these instances, and what can the person with ADHD and his/her partner do about it? In this highly interactive presentation, participants will learn to understand what is happening when things start to go wrong so they can immediately address the issues in a positive way. An interesting fact is that almost all couples report having the same or similar issues with their ADHD partners, and their ADHD partners report having the same confusion and misgivings. Learn how to look at the issues differently so you are able to come up with better solutions and have a more harmonious and healthy marriage/relationship.
Succeed in College with ADHD
Students with ADHD on their way to college have a unique set of needs. The preparation necessary for independent college functioning for students with ADHD should begin during a student’s junior year in high school, at the latest. Because the structures provided in the home and at high school make it advantageous for the student to succeed, students can run into trouble when they have to do it on their own. Colleges do not check on students and notify parents when things are not going well, and parents will not be living on campus, able to step in when necessary. In this presentation, parents and students will explore how to determine if the student is ready to take this next step by examining the academic, social, and personal requirements necessary for college success and how to put them in place. Included in the presentation will be the opportunity to explore what to consider when choosing the right college to attend.
Working Together as a Family with ADHD
ADHD is found to be transferred from family to family and parent to child. There are often one or both parents and one or more children in the family with the condition. This can make for challenging family relationships and at times an overwhelming sense of not having control over what is going on. In this presentation family members can learn what they have in common with all ADHD families and how similar families cope and move forward in a more workable and positive direction. Although the family dynamic is infinitely more complicated than just the inclusion and interaction surrounding ADHD, understanding how ADHD manifests and operates within the family can make an important difference in successfully managing the changes that lead to increased family harmony.
